Myriam Avalos Teie has earned critical acclaim as soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Her appearances and broadcasts include the Phillips Collection, Kennedy Center, the Dumbarton Concert Series, Purcell Room in London, Salle Playel in Paris, Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Victoria festival, the Voice of the OAS, the Pan American Hall, WGMS Radio, Teatro Municipal in Lima, and two State Department sponsored tours of China and Brazil. Holding a Doctorate in Chamber Music, Dr. Avaolos-Teie is an adjunct pianist for the National Symphony Orchestra, and is a performing artist and faculty member at The Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music Summer Festival. Dr. Avalos-Teie has recorded for the MSR Classics label. In January 2004, the government of Peru conferred on her the title of Cultural Ambassadress. |
