Ensemble Epomeo

Founded on the slopes of the legendary volcano Mount Epomeo in the Mediterranean in 2008 at the Festivale da Musica da Camera d'Ischia, Ensemble Epomeo consists of three virtuosi dedicated to the expansion of the string trio repertoire and non-traditional performance. Inaugural tours brought them to Italy, the U.K. and the USA with broadcasts on New England Public Radio and WKCR Columbia University in New York, where they were the subject of a three hour special showcase concert. The members of Ensemble Epomeo bring to the group a combined wealth of experience as members of professional chamber ensembles across the US and Europe, with expertise in contemporary music, classical performance, practice and improvisation. Concerts in 2010 include in Cardiff, Wales;  Liverpool and Bristol, England, Canada and the Northeast; and a return to Italy where they are the resident ensemble at the Ischia Festival.
