Mia attends Newburyport High School where she is a high honors student and member of the National Art Honors Society. She has been taking piano lessons with Penny Lazarus for the past 10 years and plans to continue lessons throughout the remainder of high school. In school, Mia’s favorite subject is math, but outside the classroom her passions lie within the arts. She enjoys expressing her love for the arts through various media such as piano, graphite pencils, and chalk pastels. Mia sees great value in fostering ways to bring the arts, especially music, to the community through her internship with the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival and as a part of the Newburyport Cultural Council.
