My favorite piece this summer
By
David YangIs it weird that the piece I’m most excited about this summer is only three minutes long?

Tomorrow is Opening Night although, technically, we already started with two storytelling concerts. Indeed, “Eddy Schpeck” (Teddy Speck) conjured up an amazing Lubin, from Chelm at Maudslay.

Opening Night with pianist Kenny Broberg will be amazing in a completely different way. If you liked Evren Ozel back in March, don’t miss Kenny. How often do you get to witness a human at the top of their game, whether it be music or sports or science or art?

As for the music: classical, modern, romantic - what’s your pleasure? Take your pick and finish off with a barnstorming virtuoso work from an internationally-acclaimed Tchaikovsky and Van Cliburn competition medalist. What’s not to like?
I'm doing a short interview with Kenny at 6:15 pm in St. Paul's. The concert begins at 7:00 pm.
See you tomorrow!

There are two approaches to designing an addition to an old building: match the original or do something completely different.
