Introducing violinist Amalia Sie

David YangNowadays, I fantasize about going into marine biology, for the sole reason that I want to play with the otters at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Never, in 24 years, have we sold out St. Paul’s. Thank you to everyone for bringing us to this point – to our all-volunteer board who have worked tirelessly to get us here, to the small army of people in the community who pitch in to help make each concert possible in all sorts of ways, and to St. Paul’s, our host since the beginning. We wouldn’t be here without you.
I’m delighted for the festival but feel for those who were unable to get tickets beforehand. For those who can’t make it, here is one of my favorite Vivaldi concertos played by the standout Italian baroque orchestra “Il Giardino Armonico.”

I’ll see some of you on Sunday. To all of you: Happy Holidays!
