Jenny spent ten formative years of her childhood in Scandinavia where her artistic, art collector parents nurtured a deep aesthetic appreciation in her and her sister.  She studied and played classical violin from 8-16, returning to the instrument as an adult focused on learning fiddle and folk music. She recently provided violin accompaniment on her son’s first EP!

Jenny graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt and later worked in the design and publishing fields in San Francisco and New York City.

She and her husband, Ted, then settled in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Jenny became a stay-at-home mom for their son and daughter. She also continued her education, volunteered at a local food bank, and aided the unhoused.

When her son and daughter were teenagers, Jenny discovered a love of making pottery, set up her own studio space and made bespoke ceramic candles for a small lifestyle company. Now she is a full-time studio member at Purple Sage Pottery.

A longtime supporter of the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival, Ted and Jenny have hosted intimate house concerts and an outdoor performance in their garden during Covid where their cat stole the show.

Jenny is honored and excited to serve on the NCMF board, where she brings an enduring love of music, art and community. [Photo by Matthew Muise]
