Laurel has built a wide-ranging career in both finance and academia, most recently serving as a professor of International Business at The Ohio State University. Yet
through every chapter, music has remained a central part of her life — whether playing the flute, attending concerts, or witnessing the intricate process of organ building
through her husband’s work. More than a passion, music has been a constant source of inspiration and connection.
When she and her husband moved to Newburyport, they were immediately drawn to the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival after attending a Hausmusik performance — captivated by its intimacy, artistry, and sense of community. Now retired and living in Newburyport full-time, Laurel is thrilled to contribute to the Festival’s mission and to support the vibrant cultural life that makes this town so special.
