Paula is a retired music educator, who moved to Newburyport in 2020 with her husband, Richard. They raised their four children in Moorestown, New Jersey and always looked forward to returning to New England after retirement. Paula has continued to stay involved in music, singing in the Immaculate Conception Choir and directing the its Youth Choir. She also enjoys volunteering at Avita, an all-memory care community, where she plays the piano with fellow musicians on Friday afternoons. She and her husband enjoy traveling to visit their six grandchildren who live on both the east and the west coast. Paula has always been a great lover of chamber music and was thrilled to find that Newburyport had its own Chamber Music Festival. She was particularly excited to find that the director was David Yang, who had coached her son’s String Quartet Ensemble at Settlement School in Philadelphia; small world! [Photo by Matthew Muise]
