Pianist Kenneth Broberg is one of the most internationally recognized pianists of his generation, with a silver medal at the Van Cliburn Competition and a bronze medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition. After his first encounter with classical music through his Italian grandfather’s love for the Three Tenors, the Minneapolis native began piano lessons at the age of 6 on the family’s upright piano. Mr. Broberg has performed concertos with the Royal Philharmonic and orchestras of Minnesota, Montreal, Indianapolis, Kansas City,  Seattle, Fort Wort, and Sydney (Australia).  Chamber music partners include the Dover, Guarneri, Escher, and Calidore string quartets and he has been featured on NPR, Minnesota Public Radio, New York’s classical station WQXR, and Australia’s ABC. He is also active as a composer and conductor. His album Songbird, recorded with violinist Maria Ioudenitch, received the Chamber Music Recording Award at the 2023 Opus Klassik Awards. Deeply committed to teaching, he has been Artist-in-Residence at Indiana University, and Professor at the Reina Sofía School and the Katarina Gurska Centro Superior de Música, both in Spain.
