Is there anyone in Newburyport who doesn't know extraordinary gentleman Teddy Speck? This summer marks another joyful collaboration with the actor, director, impresario, and his band of merry puppeteers.
The relationship between NCMF and TITO goes back years and we love working together, opening the festival with two free shows of music, storytelling, and puppetry. TITO, of course, has its own programs for kids in the summer.
In this thoughtful, wide-ranging, and occasionally silly conversation, you’ll hear about the genesis of Theater in the Open, the craft of acting, the unique advantages of non-traditional theater, the glories of the nerdy-gurdy, and other stuff about this beloved local resident you maybe didn’t know.
Speaking of the summer, it is June and ticketing has gone live, woo hoo! We've got tons of concerts and events to choose from (a bunch of which are free). The smaller venues, especially, sell-out quickly.
See you in August!
