Debussy Quartet Digital Open Rehearsal

Alessandra YangThis summer, I attended the Taos School of Music, a chamber music program in the mountains of New Mexico.
Is there anyone in Newburyport who doesn't know extraordinary gentleman Teddy Speck? This summer marks another joyful collaboration with the actor, director, impresario, and his band of merry puppeteers.
The relationship between NCMF and TITO goes back years and we love working together, opening the festival with two free shows of music, storytelling, and puppetry. TITO, of course, has its own programs for kids in the summer.
In this thoughtful, wide-ranging, and occasionally silly conversation, you’ll hear about the genesis of Theater in the Open, the craft of acting, the unique advantages of non-traditional theater, the glories of the nerdy-gurdy, and other stuff about this beloved local resident you maybe didn’t know.
Speaking of the summer, it is June and ticketing has gone live, woo hoo! We've got tons of concerts and events to choose from (a bunch of which are free). The smaller venues, especially, sell-out quickly.
See you in August!

David YangThinking about concerts – not ones I’ve played, but ones I have attended. Here are the top five that jumped out at me, in no particular order.

David YangWe’re somewhere around the mid-point of the festival which began with a talk last Monday on Kurtág and ends with our final concert this Sunday.
