Newburyport Chamber Music is a community-based series of chamber music concerts and events in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The summer Festival format is a roughly two week-long series that takes place each year in August. Additional events are programmed throughout the year.
Described in the Strad magazine as “lithe and expressive,” violist David Yang has been described as “a conduit for music.” David has collaborated with members of the Borromeo, Brentano, Miro, Tokyo, and Vermeer string quartets and is Artistic Director of the Newburyport Chamber Music Festival and Ashburton Chamber Music Festival (Devon, England) and was the director of chamber music at the University of Pennsylvania for 20 years. He has commissioned dozens of new works and was a member of Ensemble Epomeo (United Kingdom) and also founder of Auricolae Storytelling and Music Troupe.
